Bunco, lack of knitting, third in a series, state fair.

I had an extremely busy weekend. I was this place and that place. I was everywhere. I left home at 7 Friday morning and got home at 9 Sunday night. I was exhausted, I just went to bed but I got up this morning because I realized that I had fallen behind on some things. Like posting here and keeping up in my email box. Lately I just don't have the time or the energy to sit down and read. Oh well I will come up with a better plan.

Friday night I went to a birthday party with Nat and Bean which was a bunco party. It was grand. I had never played bunco before. It was so cool. It took me a few minutes but I finally got the hang of it. Shannon was fun that's whose b-day it was. I had only met her once but she wanted me to come. The chocolate fountain was the best. We had to leave early though so that we could make the drive back to skiatook without falling asleep.

Saturday we were up at 6:45 and heading to the expo building. I worked my first full day at the fair. And man nobody ever tells you how much work take-in can be. And all the stuff that there is. I have never seen so many photos they were all over the place. But I loved it, the only thing I didn't love was the trip to arby's it was to complicated. And we had to go twice. I will never do that again. After we got of work at 6 we headed back towards skiatook but detoured off to see Bourne. We stopped for food, which took us 30 minutes to decide on and headed to the movies. It was great. I loved it. I want to see it again.

Sunday was another early morning but it wasn't until we got downstairs that we found out from Nat's mom that we didn't have to be there until 9:30 but had gotten up at 5:45. Never again, we will ask next time. But I did get to see Ryan and Nikki they had just gotten back from their vacation. I even got an apple. When we did get to work it was easy. My legs were tired from the constant walking but it was okay. I got to pick the brains of some experts on crafts and watch how they work. It was really cool. But the after work of running around and trying to pin things together was not so fun but I know I would do it again.

I feel like a slacker because I didn't get any knitting done. I really need to get working on my projects. I feel like I'm falling behind but there is no one in front of me. I dunno. I might just wait until tomorrow and knit with the ladies at knit nite.

this busy girl got yarn.

last week on Thursday I received a lovely little package in the mail with some gorgeous yarn. knit picks palette in fog, petal, and black. I have already started a project and I think it will be pretty. I will talk more about it once I figure it all out. [to my secret pal: thx so much it was nice to see something in the mail for me.]

other than knitting on my gloves I haven't really been doing a lot in the creative department. I have been reading again and that has been nice. I choose something that would challenge me and something fun. so I have Russian lit and manga. I am content. at least until I finish them I am a bit of a fast reader. actually I just read really fast. but it seems I do a lot of things that way except make up my mind.

it has been extremely busy since I last posted. I meant to put my Christmas questionnaire up that night but I was so sleepy. I just went straight to bed and the next day was my brother's birthday so I hung out with him. and then on Friday I don't think I was home for more than 10 minutes. we rounded up Kim and Rori and headed to the movies. and I loved No Reservations. it was funny, I want to knit all the little hats that the little girl is wearing. the movie made us hungry so afterwards we headed to red robin. which was a hoot and the waiter was amazing, he was so great. I wish we could've hung out with him. he was tons of fun. and of course after that we made our evitable trip to Wal-Mart in order to buy some buttons.

Saturday was an earlier morning. bean and I met Nat at 10 and spent the day with her. we shopped at target and rue 21 while waiting for Applebee's to open. that was fun too, along with another great waiter. who by the way has a bad taste in food. tell me, who eats gravy on biscuits or ranch on pizza or worse fried cheese on a stick. that is disgusting. I spent most of the fair last year with miss cheese on a stick aka Nat. and here it is again more grossness. after fighting about food and sending one plate back and forth to the kitchen we headed to Skiatook. we met up with the rest of the girls, ate tons of food and played charades for Nat b-day party.

Sunday was spent at church and then at Nat's grandma's for lunch. which was pretty cool since I got to meet Jackie and Caleb. I want to hang out with them again. oh and we plan on having a knitting party sleepover type thing. I got a few of the girls that were at the party that go to Nat's church interested in knitting, two of them already knit but want to learn more techniques. not that i am a queen of answers but I definitely know where to find them or who to ask.

Monday and last night were the best of all. I spent time and knitting at starbucks and hanging out with bean and friends. and then last night was my weekly panera knit night. and as always i had fun chilling with Rori. love you Rori! there is always something to make me laugh. whether its geico commercial resemblance or just Tracy's niece talking about what a great dad that squirrel that got run over must have been. I love hanging with these girls.

well I must run to work or I won't get paid. i am really starting to get the hang off it. I'm afraid that soon I'll know what I'm doing. and Justin won't know what to do with me. ^_^

wow. work is tiring.

i apologize to anyone who may have been reading this blog. i will do better with keeping up with it. i am actually looking to buy a laptop so that i can be a bit more mobile. a lot has happened and nothing has happened. mostly work, it feels like a i work a lot but i work the same hours as anyone else. the problem is my personal time hours are hectic so i never sleep. but i'm getting better. i am balancing myself and finding time to enjoy myself. i started my first pair of gloves saturday night and i have finished the base and 2 and an half fingers. i just have the pinky and the thumb to go. i am really enjoying it and i want to make more. i love muttins, arm warmers and gloves. and so far this is the cheapest way to get them since i already have the yarn.

speaking of yarn and i'm trying to to fight off the temptation to buy any. i really want something new and pretty. i might go and buy that debbie bliss yarn that i have been eyeing. it a gorgeous red and i want to make a pair fo fingerless gloves with them. and all i need is one ball so it won't cost me a bunch.

i have been thinking of names for my yarn shop but i have gotten stumped. the problem really is that i want more that just a yarn shop. its about books and music and food. i can see want i want i am just not sure how i am going to get there.

and thinking about getting there i gotta run and post my christmas around the world questionaire. i will post more tomorrow promise. there are more knitting tales i must share.
wow. i sound like my mom.
